For today’s occasion, we have a lil’ guest-post from the writer of the comic, The Eye Over Aftbren! See below…:
Hey all, hope the weekend’s treating you kindly. Today, I (Damien) am taking over to spam the blog whilst Lonnie deftly recovers from what is now the final and finished page of TEOA (The Eye Over Aftbren), totalling up to 12 pages and enough hours to cover up to a month of full-time torture.
Illustrated, monochrome-shaded torture with only a handful of isolated colours, mind you. Even if Lonnie has to suffer, her work is very cool to look at.
Excitingly, that means we can say it’s coming Soon(™) after a few final consistency checks and, of course, the completion of the cover, which was on display during yesterday’s stream – streamed every Friday at 14:30 (CET) / 13:30 (GMT).
The Eye Over Aftbren is a window into the childhood of the character Ricki, whose past in a vicious cult is told through the lens of memory and speculation. As a child being raised there, perhaps time would shed more light on its realities, and yet, for now, the audience is trapped in the world of petty childhood grievances and snotty childish tantrums. Of course, the cult’s nature colours these interactions, and quite darkly indeed.
In the Eye Over Aftbren, she returns to bury them.
